Character Name: Tavros Nitram

Personality: Tavros has low self-esteem and wavering confidence, which could very well be caused by being bullied by Vriska, being told he is useless and that his paralysis was his fault, constantly to the point where he actually believes that there is some truth to that. Tavros, however, copes with the negativity he faces from the other trolls by creating a personified version of his self-esteem which he names Rufio. The technique was suggested by Kanaya, which he uses to imagine that he talks to Rufio and is very careful to make sure that nothing hurt's Rufio's feelings.
Tavros has the heart of a child, just as any lover of the Pupa Pan tales would. He wouldn't like to grow up. He runs from responsibilities, and prefers to ignore his problems rather than talk about them or do anything to change his situation. During the gam, he slept through most of it, preferring the happy world of Prospit where he was free to walk (which at the time, he had been wheelchair bound) and fly. No restrictions, no responsibilities, no Vriska, no dealing with death and killing. Tavros is easily one the kindest and calmest troll. Unlike other trolls, Tavros doesn't need a Moirail for the purpose of staying sane. He doesn’t like to force the creatures he communes with to do hard work for him, he doesn’t even make his Fiduspawn creatures fight eachother, he just makes them take naps with his lusus.
Even though Tavros has gone through a lot of bad things in his past, he almost always seems to keep a smile on his face. It also appears like avoiding his problems actually works for him, rather than against him as it would for most other people. He also seems to be his happiest when rapping or getting ready to rap, and when talking to Gamzee.
Before his robo legs, Tavros had been wheelchair bound, but rather than being depressed by it it had been more of something he simply wished wasn't a thing. This could partly be because even before he was paralyzed he had wished he could fly, and even with the loss of his legs he was unable to fly, so that did not change for him. After he recieved his robo legs, he began to become more confident, but that still wavered quite a bit. He wasn't steady on his legs and would fall down the stairs.
Tavros is a little unsure about romance and tends to avoid it. He has said he likes Jade, but that was in a moment of forced fake confidence. He was quite weirded out by the idea of being romantically interested in Dave. With Gamzee, however, he was more in shock by the clown's forward advances.
Tavros and Vriska's relationship is rocky at best, with her being the one who cause his paralysis when she had him go over the side of cliff. He has told Gamzee that he doesn't like talking to her, and has wanted to forget about her and have nothing to do with her from the start of the game. Because of her paralyzing him, Tavros had lost part of his hope to one day join the ranks of the Cavalreapers because he would have been most likely been culled. Vriska tries to make Tavros stronger, which results in trying to get him to grow up faster than he's ready and putting him in situations he is not ready for, like kill her and kiss her. Tavros is easily confused, and Vriska does a great job at confusing him; trying to make him apologize for his disability that she had caused, then wanting to work with him and make him strong, but then telling him he is useless and boring, and then going on to kiss him. Even through all this, Tavros seems to appreciate what she is trying to do for him, having known Vriska long enough to understand her intentions. Even so, what Vriska has done to Tavros has hurt him more than helped him. Usually Vriska will ramble on and on about why he’s stupid and a baby, and a lot of times he’ll just reply with an “oKAY,”, ”}:(”, and/or “uHH,”. He will just take the insults as they come, up to a point. He gave Vriska firm “no” when she wanted him to apologize for being disabled. He stood up for both Jade and himself when Vriska went too far after his confession to Jade. He can stand up for himself when pushed hard enough.
Tavros and Gamzee's relationship is one of best friends. Tavros is always happy and excited when talking with Gamzee, and loves to go about rapping with the clown. Gamzee compliments Tavros, which Tavros is unsure of how to take the compliment, but the two go on and Tavros begins to show signs of being more confident in his abilities. Tavros uses less filler words when he speaks to Gamzee, and Gamzee is easily one of his closest friends.
Tavros and Aradia had been close friends at one point, and he is just as friendly and confident around her as he is around Gamzee. They were team mates while they larped together, and when Vriska paralyzed Tavros, Aradia was very upset and went after Vriska by summoning spirits of the dead to haunt her.

Abilities: Tavros has the ability to commune with creatures, seems to be an Alternian Wildlife Master. His ability to commune with creatures had extended to the imps that would have otherwise attacked him.
Strengths: His optimism, His ability to commune with creatures, He's a pretty nice guy when not fueled by fake confidence.
Weaknesses: Low self-esteem, wavering confidence, His optimism, His legs can be tampered with.

[ Of course, no answer. He stared at the camera a moment and gave an awkward smile. ]

[ He stood, a slight creak coming from his robo legs, which caused him to frown. He stepped towards the camera and looked it over before turning to look towards the door in the room. That, of course, sent his horn knocking into the camera which then knocked the camera down, giving an awkward angle of Tavros’s robo legs. ]
